The Secret Lives of Bumblebees and Solitary Bees – Workshop and Garden Bee Safari at Chalice Well Friday June 5th 2026
Discover how bumblebees and solitary bees live and the role they play in the intricate balance within the garden ecosystem. These are our wonderful wild bees and they are very different to honeybees. Join bee champion Jean Vernon for an illustrated insight into the secret world of wild bees with a bee safari in the Chalice Well garden. Please choose EITHER the morning or afternoon workshop. Tickets are £25 and available from Chalice Well.
Jean Vernon is a tree and bee guardian. She is passionate about championing bees and pollinators and garden wildlife. She is an award-winning garden writer and writes for leading national magazines and newspapers including the RHS Journal – The Garden and The Daily Telegraph. She writes articles about bees, pollinators and mini-beasts and their role in the natural balance.
