The garden offer a respite from everyday concerns, a place for connection, reflection and renewal.

Each part is distinctly different – ranging from the open space of the meadow, to the intimate circle around the Wellhead. Throughout the garden there are numerous places to sit and enjoy nature, with the gentle the flow of the sacred well water accompanying your journey through the garden. From the wellhead it flows to the waterfall and healing pool and onto the flowform that oscillates at the rate of the human heart. It is possible to walk through the healing pool beside the waterfall. The trees and flowers show the changing seasons, and the spiritual presence which is so central to the Chalice Well is everywhere.

With this in mind, we ask to respect other visitors by helping us maintain the peace and quiet. Those wishing to picnic or gather in small groups are asked to do so in The Meadow, the highest point of the garden.

To help us preserve the sanctity of this place, we ask you to have mobiles in airplane mode if you wish to use your phone to take photos or make notes, and to refrain from smoking or vaping inside the gardens

You will receive tickets upon entry which will allow you to re-enter the garden for the full day.

The gardens are a place of meditation and quiet reflection, a chance to leave the world behind, a pause.

Open every day. No pre-booking required for individuals. For group visits, please pre-book your visit so we can create a welcome pack.

The Chalice Well is an ecologically sensitive area with open waterways.

For this reason we are only able to welcome highly trained assistance dogs that accompany their partner. No other type of dogs or pets can be allowed in the garden.

We ask that Phones are on flight mode while you are in the Garden. On arrival, you will be given an entry ticket which allows you to re-enter the garden as many times as you like until the last entry time.

Due to the nature of the gardens, we also ask that no filming is done on the premises including on event days.

Chalice Well water is freely available in the garden from the Lion’s Head fountain and also from Wellhouse Lane opposite the White Spring.

Alternatively, you can buy a flask of water in our online shop and have it shipped to your door.

The Chalice Well Trust own copyright to the name of Chalice Well.

We do not licence the use of the name, the logo or symbol under any circumstances.

We do not allow any individual or business to use Chalice Well on products for commercial gain, as this would imply that we have agreed to their production, creation, manufacture, including ingredients, quality, safety and use, amongst other considerations.

People hiring our Meeting Room, Retreat House or Private Access may use the Chalice Well name and images for their publicity purposes of that particular event.

Please be aware that we have areas with uneven terrain, cobbled paths and steps. The gatehouse at the entrance to the garden is up a cobbled path which is steep in places. If the slope is too steep, call into the office and we can arrange access via a level route.

Most areas of the garden are accessible with a wheelchair (a motorised buggy is available upon request).

If you feel you would like to book the Mobile Scooter and/or a Blue Badge Parking Space, please click the button below.

We ask groups including school groups, and other larger groups, to email us to tell us when you are planning to visit with your group.

We can prepare a Welcome Pack for you with garden maps, information on your own language and entrance tickets and let your group into the garden without any delays.

Please call or email us to tell us the date and time you plan to visit, your language leaflet requirements and how many people are in your group. One of our Office team will contact you to confirm the arrangements for your group.

Please break up into smaller groups during your time in the garden, to respect the quiet and peaceful visits of other visitors and pilgrims. If you wish to congregate as a group, the Meadow is an ideal space to do so.

We thank those who have reached out to the board of Trustees with ideas, concerns and requests regarding the Blue Bowl. These are welcomed and considered. Please be reassured that the Blue Bowl is safe and resides on our sacred land in the heart of the Temenos of Glastonbury-Avalon, from where we can believe it emanates for the good of all.

The decision of the Trustees based on the Chalice Well Trust Blue Bowl Policy, and after risk-assessment, consultation and contemplation, is that the Blue Bowl will remain withdrawn from public access for the time being, as it has been for lengthy periods in its history. This decision will be reviewed regularly.

Wellesley Tudor Pole spoke of the Blue Bowl as a symbol of unity, lasting peace and joy. He believed the bowl to be always active on some level. We invite you to unify your awareness with its subtle energies as you meditate, contemplate, and pray for peace.

With goodwill from Chalice Well.

Can be held or pushed in the garden, but not ridden. We do have a bike parking area in our car park, or alternatively, you can leave these items near the Gatehouse.

Chalice Well is known as the Red Spring due to the amount of Iron in the water. The White spring is a separate entity and can be found next door on Wellhouse Lane. You can contact them through their website: https://www.whitespring.org.uk/

Paddling is possible in King Arthurs Court healing pool and the river in the lower lawn. All other areas are too slippery.
