Chalice Well Trust is seeking a warm, attentive and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our retail team. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with people, has a genuine appreciation for Chalice Well, and enjoys creating a welcoming, peaceful and inspiring environment for visitors.
As a Shop Assistant, you will be a professional and friendly first point of contact for visitors, both in person and online. You will support the smooth day-to-day running of the shop, ensure excellent customer service, and help maintain the beauty and integrity of the retail space.

Roles and responsibilities:
Customer Service & Administration
- Provide a welcoming, friendly and professional experience for all visitors
- Respond to telephone, email and in-person enquiries for both the shop and online store
- Support customers by answering questions and ensuring they feel cared for and at ease
- Maintain clear and healthy boundaries, asking for support when needed
- Attend staff meetings and contribute thoughtfully and respectfully
- Support Chalice Well Trust events as required
- Apply Trust policies and staff spiritual protocols, fostering positive working relationships across teams
Shop Presentation & Teamwork
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
- Regularly review shop layout and displays to ensure they are tidy, clean and beautifully presented
- Replenish shelves and create appealing, inspiring merchandise displays
Role-Specific Knowledge & Duties
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of crystals and confidently share information with visitors
- Maintain and develop knowledge of crystals, authors and literature sold in the shop
- Use the EPOS Now point of sale system (training provided)
- Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash handling
- Support stock management, including stock counts and identifying low stock items
