DESCRIPTION:Samhain Saturday 31 October 2026 \nSamhain is a liminal time\, when we can gather in community to honour the ancestors and wise ones who have walked these sacred lands before us. It is the end of the Celtic year and a time to pause and give thanks for blessings and wisdom gained. Winter begins and we welcome the coming time of going within for nourishment and rebirth.  \nMIDDAY MEDITATION: please join us at the Wellhead at 12pm for a silent meditation followed by a pilgrimage to the Vesica Pool following the flowing well water\, to give thanks to the ancestors and blessings to the waters. \n Refreshments are available from 10am on the lower lawn\, by the conversation cafe fire. \n16:00: SAMHAIN FIRE CEREMONY: we gather under the Guardian Yew Trees at 4pm\, with the Samhain Fire in deep connection with the trees\, the land\, the waters and the ancestors.  Vicki Burke will play her harp beside the candle-lit cascade in King Arthur’s Court where we invite you to add a tealight in gratitude to the ancestors. \nDate: Saturday 31st OctoberTime: 10.00am – 6:00pm (weather permitting) (last entry at 4:00pm) Where: Chalice Well GardenWho: All are welcomePrice: FREE ENTRY – 10:00am – 11:30am then normal entrance fees apply \n\n  \n9:00am: Livestream Meditation:  on Facebook.com/theChaliceWell12:00pm: Midday Silent Meditation:  at the Wellhead4:00pm:  Fire Ceremony: under the Yew Trees with music 4:30pm: Lighting floating candles for the Ancestors at the Vesica Pool6:00pm: Garden Closes Weather permitting\, the Wellhead will stay open until 6:00pm \n  \n\n  \nExtra Information \nRefreshments: Available from 10:00am (cash or card). DESCRIPTION:On Michaelmas\, Tuesday 29 September\, we are holding a Day of Silence in our Meeting Room\, between 11am and 3pm. Everyone is welcome to enter the deeply nourishing silence for a few minutes or a few hours of silent meditation. Michaelmas is the feast day of Archangel Michael who is also the protector angel of Chalice Well. Michaelmas is the beginning of autumn and the time when darker nights and colder days begin. As the gold and russet Autumn colours warm our hearts\, the earth offers her fruit and berries so that we may gather all that will sustain and nourish us through the colder months. \n \nWe can offer our gratitude for the harvests and for our experiences and opportunities that have blossomed and thrived\, letting go of what is no longer needed. \nWe begin at 12pm at the Wellhead for a short silent meditation\, respecting the place of silence around the Well.
